The purpose of the GED program is to provide adult learners with educational skills and knowledge needed to acquire the GED Diploma.  The GED instruction is organized into the following subjects:  reading, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, mathematics, natural science and social studies.  Students also have the opportunity to practice taking tests similar to the GED testing series.  Students who successfully pass all tests in subject areas are awarded the Montana High School equivalency diploma.  This certificate is accepted by FPCC as the equivalent of a high school diploma.  Many employers will accept the GED certificate as an educational qualifications for employment.
